TORRALBA D’EN SALORT
One of the most beautiful and best preserved prehistoric villages in Menorca
It is also one of the largest and most complete. It is composed of two talayots, a spectacular "taula" ('table'), a unique hypostyle hall, several prehistoric houses, a cyclopean wall, silos and hypogea excavated in the subsoil, as well as a medieval or modern building. All this set was acquired in 1990 by the Illes Balears Foundation which, since then, has preserved it and has encouraged the visit to it. It is an archaeological site of great value, listed as BIC (asset of cultural interest) and integrated into the Menorca Talayotic candidacy for UNESCO World Heritage.
